Ford’s future electric model to be called the Model E. Was Ford already planning this before Tesla wanted the name or is Ford just effing with Tesla?

Ford did have it trademarked before Tesla tried to claim it. Whether they already had advance knowledge of Tesla’s potential naming theme is left to speculation.
